Elna 62C will only straight stitch

Elna 62C will only straight stitch
Yesterday my Elna 62C made a few unusual noises and now only sews straight stitches. What part needs repair and how easy is it to fix?

Ii don't know this machine well, but I had trouble in dealing with zig zag when this little spring borke. You might check to see that is attached at both ends. Red arrow points to it on My SU.

Glad it is there.
Take the top off and turn your handwheel by hand and look for broken bits anywhere. turn it upsidie down over a clean flat space and see if any pieces fall out. Lube everything that should be moving.
