One other consideration: contrary to what sellers might tell you, these machines are *not* rare. While there are certain machines that may be, relatively speaking (think blackside, original bed decal, etc.), these were a mass-produced item. Since there is not a case, you may want to consider countering the seller's $250 price tag.

Best,
Jae

Well, its been 2 days and I have not heard back from the seller. We last emailed each other on Sunday and she was supposed to get a shipping quote for me. I have yet to hear back so I will give her a few more days then start looking again. Actually, I am going to keep looking just nothing serious.

Jae, thanks for all you advice it is very helpful. I will make sure to ask her these questions.

You can buy a new case for a featherweight. Looks to be in super condition. Does it sew?

You're most welcome, Pinkberrykay Feel free to contact me w any other questions. I'm extremely familiar w these machines and would be happy to guide you however I can. Remember, there's a 221 out there waiting for you if this isn't the one meant to be.

Yes, here's the link from the ISMACS site. Attachment info is in the second half of the manual.
