Featherweight Bobbins?

Featherweight Bobbins?
Howdy y'all :c)
I want to buy some extra bobbins for my Featherweight, since I only have three. For some reason, not one of the quilt shops around here knows what size it needs! I've called them all! Someone told me at one point that they thought it used the Class 15 bobbins, but I have plenty of those and they just don't look the same size to me. I've looked on eBay, and all they say is, "Featherweight bobbins", they don't give a specific size. I've even searched on here and haven't been able to find a reference to them. Can someone help me out please? I would sure appreciate it! :c)

I found FW bobbins at JoAnns but, alas, they wouldn't work in the FW. They were thin metal and they made the tension just wacky. There was a thread awhile back where others were complaining about generic bobbins not working either. I think I remember people having luck with sewclassic's bobbins. Someone out there...... is that correct? I personally haven't tried any of their bobbins but someone will chime in and let you know if that is the correct place or not.

Donna,
There is a bobbin "class" or "number" for Featherweight bobbins, but I don't remember it right now.
I'll second the suggestion to go to Sew-Classic for you F-W bobbins. Jenny sells good bobbins. Far better and more consistent than JoAnns or any of the other places.

Featherweight bobbins are much thinner than a class 15 and are unique to Featherweights and 301's. There are no plastic bobbins and the metal bobbins have holes all around the outside of the bobbin. I find that sewing machine sales places here in Southern Ontario stock them. I've bought them at Triangle Sewing Centre in Guelph and the Markdale Sewing Machine store. Prices have ranged from .40 to $1.00 per bobbin.

The class 221 bobbins that Joanns and Wal-mart sell are garbage. I had one of them get stuck in my Singer 301's bobbin case, I thought I'd never get it out. Singer 221 and 301 use the same bobbins. I buy new bobbins from
