Lovely machine & I would definitely have paid $50.00 for it too.

Nice find. I still haven't found a black one, or a long bed.

I found my black 301 in a lovely cabinet with the bench seat at an estate sale in Memphis for $50. It's my favorite vintage machine.

If I ever were lucky enough to find one, you could bet it would be at least $300.

She just had it in a rolling cooler and it fit in the carryon on top. I looked at her photo and made note of the name. I will have a look at a 301 tomorrow. They want $100.00 and for the price it better be in good shape.

Wow! Good for you! So, clearly you are a collector of machines! I bought my second machine (Husqvarna emerald) out of necessity when my first (just a kenmore) was in the shop and I had to piece a quilt before Christmas. I make do with what I have and am happy so far. I've learned by using a friend's machine that it would be nice to have an automatic threader and cutter and a machine that can sew letters is a definite plus!

Oh, what a beauty and what a deal. I'd love one of those too.
