Default Fired Up! Stripped....and Ready To Go!!!!!

I recently acquired this Singer 201K on Freecycle. Machine is great but the case had seen better days!! Inspired by a post by Candace on QB I decided to 'have-a-go'!!!! I found the wrapping paper in the 'Bargain Bin' at WHSmith.....perfect!!! Today it is a really wet, miserable day here in the UK !! Hubby has gone to a Model Railway Show .... So here goes!!! Stall set out.......stripped and ready to go!!!!! I'll post pics on progress!!! Watch this space!!!

I am stuck on your getting a really gorgeous 201 for FREE!! Wow!

Have fun with the case, and I hope it turns out perfectly for you.

I advertised on our local Freecycle page for a basic machine to enable me to teach a young child to sew! A young man contacted me and offered his late Mothers machine! As you can see, the case was a bit battered ! When I got it home I gave the machine a wash and brush up and some oil .....stitches perfectly!!! Checked it out on the Singer site and it is a 201k built in 1958! Lucky me!!!

I'll be watching your progress! I have a nasty case i just stripped down yesterday. Mine needs a little bleach and sun time before the pretty paper happens.
