Default Found a 401 with Table!

I've been searching for a 301 either for sale or trade (I have a Featherweight I'd like to sell) and just haven't been able to find one. I saw an add on CL that stated Singer 401 with table. I hurried on over and bought it for $35! The young girl said it was her mom's machine and she thought maybe her dad had made the table. After getting the table and machine home I googled card table for singer 401 and found out I just bought a Singer “Model 316 "MONTEREY" Utility Table! It is in excellent condition. I'm in the process of cleaning up the 401 but she runs very smoothly. Just lots of accumulated junk. I'm happy with both the 401 and the card table. She also gave me three cases with Singer scissors, pinking, embroidery, and applique included. I'll post pictures once she's cleaned up.

You'll love your new machine, I have one and I use mine for all my sewing and quilt making. Since I have had my 401a I haven't used my Husqvarna for my sewing. The 401 has a beautiful stitch and will go through any fabrics I use it for.

Usually when they are under $50 they require a lot of clean up
