Unfortunatly the market for those beautiful old treadles is at a huge low. Many are being scrapped or set on the curb. We deal in vintage machines and have turned down quite a few treadles because we just don't have the room for them.
Thank-you very much for you insight...I decided last year I would like to have a treadle, not sure why just think it would be neat to own one, but so far I have refrained, maybe because I don't feel I am educated enough so thank-you!

I, too, think the price a bit high, but it's a gorgeous table, and the machine will be, too, with a little cleaning.

I think that's a pretty steep price tag. There are more out there much more reasonable.

Went to a barn sale Sat...it was a Singer Redeye treadle and by the second day they marked down to 39.00 from 45.00...Personally the most I'd pay would be 150.00

Same here. I paid $50 for a Montgomery Ward Damascus Grand treadle on an estate auction almost a year ago, and she is in pristine condition...I'm going to play with her for awhile this eve. :)
