I also think she is asking too much. It isn't in pristine condition, looks pretty dusty, dirty and worn. Could probably tell better had she taken the time to clean it up.

Since I've never heard of the machine and don't know anything about it, I personally would pass it up and spend the $300 on a gorgeous Singer Featherweight.

Ditto to all the comments. A little too rich for my blood. Around here they go for about $100 - $150 and they are in much better shape.

I do know for a fact if you go to auctions you can pick these up for 50.00 sometimes. I wouldn't pay 300.00 no way. Gee I should post mine one of these days.

PArt of values are in the eye of the beholder. Something can sell for 5.00 one time and 1000.00 the next to someone for sentimental reasons. If you're looking at it as an item to keep then maybe you don't mind paying the price. If your thought is to someday recoop what you put out for it, it's not a good investment. Unfortunatly the market for those beautiful old treadles is at a huge low. Many are being scrapped or set on the curb. We deal in vintage machines and have turned down quite a few treadles because we just don't have the room for them.
