I hate to bust your happy bubble but the machine and cabinet is not a $300 seller. I bought a beautiful 1913 cabinet with a White sewing machine and a set of 8 silverplate for $25 several years ago in West Memphis. Later I decided to have the cabinet refinished. I use it to display a silver tea set. As far as the name on the machine it is a decal used by the sew machine dealer who sold it. I personally am looking for a machine with the decal name of PARSONS sold in the 50's. As far as the price on this little jewel, simply make her an offer. It is only worth what you will pay.

Some bits of information:
Free.
In 1895 the Illinois Sewing Machine Co was founded using assets from the former Royal Sewing Machine Co of Rockford, Illinois. Will C. Free became the president by 1910, and organized a parent company - the Free Sewing Machine Co. Production continued in Rockford until 1958, when it relocated to Los Angeles, California. Manufacture finally ceased about 1969.
The one at the site below is offered for the same money - or is it the same machine?

I have one but it isn't in as good of shape. I have to refinish the cabinet and clean the machine. I got mine for free but $300 is way way to much. You can get them alot cheaper. I got a treadle singer with a good cabinet for $50.00 and have seen them for $10.00. All though this machine and cabinet may be a little rare it is way over priced!!!
