Default Free Westinghouse sewing machine

I just received my new to me sewing machine last night. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I've tried to find a manual for this but haven't found one.

Is it a model LLB? - TIAS has a printed manual but it is shown as "On Hold". Maybe they have a PDF available?

I don't have a manual and haven't seriously used mine. You may want to put a spacer between the motor and the body when you aren't using it. the friction wheels get flat spotted after a decade or two.

bottom pic is a Free with a Westinghouse motor.

Leonf you are correct. It is a model LLB. I found that under the machine. The sell told me it was an LLC.

Much as I would like to take the credit for being right ( a rare thing indeed) it was Notwendy who had that answer.

My GF does not like the take up arm on teh back side of the machine. Or the tensioner on the front. She doesn't liek Singer 15s either. That's OK I have plenty of others that she can use.

This New Home is nearly identical. Queenbarbie, does your bed taper down at the edges?

Yes it does. The stitch length plate is different on yours. Below the zero mark there is nothing. I found that to be the reverse. I take it that the lever behind the motor is the bobbin winder. I don't know how to work it. I figured out how to install the bobbin and the thread. Does it matter which way the presser foot screw is turned. I've seen videos where the wider part is upwards and downwards. I think you would want the wider part downward so you would have more of an even pressure on the presser foot. I think that way since I do work with a lot of mechanical parts for airplanes.
