GOLD touch up paint for decals question

Do any of you vintage owners ever touch up the decals with a gold paint pen or anything like that, and if so what do you recommend??? I'd like to know in case I ever decide to do anything like that. Thanks for your input. Really love reading all the posts here.

There are gold leaf pens available at many craft stores. However, unless you're very good, it may make the machine look even worse than leaving it alone.
