Got the van loaded
Two machines, a case and three cabinets. Picked up a parlor cabinet in poor shape for $30 and the seller asked if I was interested in another. Nice older signer treadle with wood pitman. So another $50 changed hands. The machine in the case is a newer new home electric and the load is rounded out with a black 15-125 in a basic cabinet.
time to head home now. Not sure if we'll have time to stop anywhere else before the shops close for the day

That may help me. My German made model 15 has a metal pitman arm. The records for German made machines from that time frame apparently were destroyed during WWII making dating the machine a little trickier. This indicates my machine may have been made sometime in the 20s or 30s. I was thinking a little earlier due to the decals. My 1908 model 27 has a wooden arm.

Here they are -
The treadle cabinet - like I need another treadle cabinet . . . oh well, hopefully by fall I'll have room for them all.
and the wood pitman
Another neat thing - the back belt guide is attached to the cabinet, not the treadle base.
And the second - another New Home (Free). This was another "garbage man special" and I am glad there are garbage haulers that are willing to grab machines like this and put them on Craigslist for $30.
And the one I'm excited about - the 15-125. It's in very nice condition and came with a basic cabinet.
I have a 1914 Singer 15 that came in a treadle cabinet with a metal pitman. The manual I have for a 66-1 dated 1912 shows a cabinet with a metal pitman. The next oldest manual I have is from 1907 and that shows a wood pitman.
I looked around and discovered that the Demorest and the older Standard (Slim) have wood pitmans, however the really beat up cabinet the Singer 9 came in has a metal pitman.
