    Default Granddaughter got her 401 . . . I think

Last week Mom3 posted her rummage sale find of two 401s. I immediately pm'd her and begged to be put on the list first should she decide to sell. I've been looking for a 401 for my daughter every since I visited and her plastic zig zag machines (yes machine(s) were both broken.

Mom 3 agreed to sell me one and I called my daughter all excited. Her quote to me was "you know we took my "new" machines to the shop and they work now." Well, I called my 16 year old granddaughter (who by the way took sewing and auto mechanics in school this year. I figure she'll be able to fix my sewing machine motors when she's done) and asked her if she wanted the machine. She was so excited! My daughter not so much.

The machine was ready last night and my daughter was being difficult about going to get it. When I hung up with her I didn't think she was going to pick it up. Well, she had a change of heart and snuck out without letting my dear GD know.

On her way home, she called me to inform me that she hadn't cashed my check yet and, technically, since she paid for the machine with her money, it was her machine. GD could have one of the new plastic ones.

That's not going to happen. I might have to go up north and kick some butt. Next time I buy her an "old" machine, she might want to think twice about being snotty with me.

All is good either way. GD will get them in the end.

Once again, thank you Mom3. My kids now have two of the best Singers made (201 and 401).

Doesn't matter whether or not she cashed your check; she took possession of it! Go kick some butt!!!

Aren't DDs the pits sometimes? I tell mine that I should have sold her into somebody's harem when she was little and cute. Not much market for 38 yo harem girls! Of course, her precious hubby and kids might argue with me if I tried to sell her now. LOL!!!!

I wish I was in WI. . . actually I will be by summer next year. Retiring age is upon me. I can't wait to hit the garage sales and thrift stores up there.

As for the 201s . . . I love them. Have two of my own down her in AZ and my daughter has one in WI. If I had room, I'd help you out with your :-(
