Question Has anyone seen one of these before?

Hello to all, I am trying to find out about a sewing machine that i own it's a Barnes & Pye sewing Machine. I cannot find another example of this sewing machine anywhere, it's not really that old but very heavy i have seen others that look similar but no sewing machines by Barnes & Pye. Any help would be fantastic

The Ltd told me to look across the Atlantic -- here's a bit of history stuff...

Barnes & Pye at the bottom of the article -- but I found the whole thing interesting!

And here's a little more about the Company -- but not the sewing machines.

i wonder if the machine was made by singer but sold under that company's name.
that's been done with other products throughout the "ages."

Other companies did that, but not Singer. They were all about preserving the brand.

It's most likely a Japanese clone of the Singer 15. Many stores would buy these already "branded" with their name, but they didn't make them. I had one just like this that was branded Montgomery Ward.

Yours is beautiful and in lovely shape. Enjoy using it. A Singer 15 manual should be of help to you, if you ever need it.

Pretty machine. Sewbizgirl is correct. Janey posted a few days ago that the 15 clones don't thread exactly like the Singer 15. Here's a manual for the 15 clone. Janey is usually right.
