Help for 1898 tension control
Just got an 1898 Sphinx from CL. Decals are so so especially on base. Biggest problems.
1. Had a shuttle with it but can't figure out how to get it into cradle.
2. Spring on tension is all twisted up and will have to be replaced? Does have book but nothing in there on replacing spring. Tension has little spoon looking thing sticking out underneath???
Anything you can tell me about this old girl will be appreciated. We'd sure like to return her to working order. Her table was pretty nice. Pics coming up. DD & DGson coming from CA tomorrow am. Will have pic help then!
White featherweight waiting at post office for pickup! YAY can't wait to see if it's as good as it looked.
Right now the 1938 model 15 is my favorite to sew on.
