I started a restoration on a 66 I had. I bought it for the cabinet, too. It was a refurb with crackle paint. Under that paint, was a 66 red-eye. By the time I got it stripped, I decided it was too much for me to do with my limited skills. I saw a youtube video on a 301 that had been repainted, but not stripped. He had sanded it, repainted it, clear coated it and replaced the decals. It looked nice. It's something I need to look into "one of these days", when I get my round tuit.

Lil looks functional at least. Maybe you can use here till you get another tuit. And more experience in the refurb world.
