Default Identifying a Machine

I have some friends who have the machine in the attached pictures. I am just looking for a little information on it. I don’t know anything about these types of machines so any information is greatly appreciated. I probably won’t buy it but I’d like to be able to help them with some information or resources regarding its value. Thank you to anyone for any information they may provide!

That is a beautiful machine. If the price was right, I would buy it in right now. It looks like it probably might still sew. I'm sorry that I don't have info about which Singer this is. If you get the serial number, you can find out at this website. [Off Topic comment--I hate the way copying a website now goes to a search engine and then you have to choose. I liked it much better when it went straight to the website.]
Comprehensive Singer Serial Number Database (ismacs.net)

It looks to be a nostalgia or vintage reproduction Singer made 15 possibly in the 1970s or 1980s. It looks to be missing a couple of spool pins, one on top and one on the base for winding the bobbin. The serial number doesn't appear to be like most that I've seen. There were some 15K machines with the drop feed in the base, but the spool pin for the bobbin winder was in the "feed throw out" knob.

According to http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...sses-1-99.html there were 15N, 15NL, 15CH made in the 1980s. https://www.singersewinginfo.co.uk/15 also tells a little about nostalgia 15s.

There is a manual for the 15k110, 15k111 & 15K112 at http://needlebar.org/main/15chart/110/index.html which show the bobbin winder spool pin in the feed throw out knob.

There is some additional information about a 1973 vintage reproduction machine at https://quiltville.blogspot.com/2013...-or-repro.html

Most of the posts I've seen about these machines is that they seem to be noisier than the older Singer 15s.

The ISMACS serial number base that Barb referred to only goes up to about 1965, I think.

Hope that helps, some.

The badge on it says to me that it was produced either in the 50's or 60's (most likely 60's). The badge on it was the last one to be pinned onto the machines. Reproduction of a Class 15 most likely by Singer

You can tell it's a reproduction by the extremely garish decals and the fact it has a knob on the bed to drop the feed dogs. The original 15's lever to drop the feed dogs in underneath the bed.

All of this is great information! I appreciate all of your assistance so much. From the reading it looks like it would have had a table or case that is not present... I will probably go look at it in person soon. I would love to have a vintage machine. I just don’t have room to set one up at this time. Sigh...
