Welcome from SW Ohio! What a beautiful story! Maybe you could check to see if there are any quilt guilds that meet close to you. I am sure they would be willing to help you with any quilting questions you have. Also, some of the older guild members can probably give you some hints about using a treadle machine. Ask me how I know....

grabbed me by the jugular vein with that story on the treadle and your mom's reaction. Sure touched this 72 year old's heart big time. Congrats and have fun with it. How I would love to have a treadle sewing machine, but at this point, I know it will never happen. I'm blessed to have what I do have, so won't complain. LIFE IS GOOD.
