I have a similar one. It does the chain stitch so it does not have a bobbin. I still have mine but it's blue. Mine did not have the wooden top on it. The home in the center front is for a special shaped clamp that holds the machine to the table so you can turn the crank wheel with one hand and hold the fabric with the other.. I have had mine since 3rd grade in 1963.

Wonderful find, love the whole package! I don't see the lids very often for these toy machines. Love the quilt top too!

That is very cute. A friend has collected quite a few toy machines & has them displayed in her quilt shop. Maybe i should hunt for these. They would take up less room & be much lighter to carry.

What a nice find! The top is cute!

I agree wit ctrysass2012 that the toy machines look nice when displayed and definitely take up less room

Mine is pink and also works. I collect toy and tiny machines. I have them on display in my sewing room. I love these little gems.

Default Needles and manual for KayanEE Sew Master

Does anyone know what needles are used for this little child's machine? Also, does anyone have a manual you would photograph and share with me? I have attached a picture, let me know if you cannot see it. Thank you, Betty

As for the needle see KAYanEE toy machine, need info. and needle designation needed toy Kay an ee It looks like yours would take the 12x1, which are no longer available. I think I'd try a 15x1 first, as suggested above (with flat on right). There are supposed to be substitute needles for 12x1, but I have read various reports about them being different depending on manufacturer and since they are round shank can be rather fiddly to install.

As for threading https://media.hibid.com/img.axd?id=4...OXVjbDccBAPsPj You can't see it, but there is a guide on the nose that it needs to go through before threading the needle from left to right. I looked at it, again, and I'm pretty sure that the thread needs to go under the disc with the spring on it.
