The closest model I could find is a Kenmore 86. It might be close enough to be exactly the same mechanically. The bobbin winder is different and the main body has a more angular design. There might be a free manual for it some where, but all I could find were various pay versions.

From what I've been able to determine, there was no US equivalent to this model. It appears to be an exclusive to Simpsons.
The closest thing to a manual I've been able to locate online is for a C877.15, which is a US model. While similar, it has a different control mechanism for the stitch length and direction. The online manual is a very sketchy PDF which I was mostly seeking for oiling/maintenance instructions.
We have a very good local independent sewing machine repair guy so hopefully we'll keep this running for years more to come.

I found a photo of what claims to be a 1957 Model 99K, wearing a Kenmore badge. 99K is a Singer model I believe. The link below is a Pinterest photo of the machine, looks to be what the OP has.
