Looking for a book
#12
I still can't find it! When I type in what you said, I only get the book by the other author (Basebase Law) - not the one by Bays. And when I look for Bays as the author, I only get the other book - very frustrating!
I looked at the one the Smithsonian has, and it's great - but I'm more interested in 1890-1940 era machines.
This is the only green one I've found, and it's the other title - but it is by Carter Bays.

I have "The handbook of antique sewing machines" by Law which is a small B&W handy little guide. Good for looking up odd ball model names and is my favorite. Condensed version of his encyclopedia.

Thanks- I already own that book and it's more about using them than about attachments - in fact it has about 1 paragraph about the top clamp ones - but at least it does say there there are many types of them, but nothing about what type fits which machine.
I'm trying to track down the makers and time frames. I've got such a large selection of attachments, and I've got plenty I have no idea what machine they fit. That's why I keep buying more machines LOL!!
