Thisis the one that replaces that one in my collection - it is still in GA

And this is what I bought to ease the pain . . . This one is a 27

I also have a quite worn 127 sphinx machine -that one needs a home.

Those two are pretty aren't they? I never thought it would be so hard to find a Sphinx with good decals, since I see more 27/127 sphinx machines in treadle cabinets than any others.

So when I saw that one on Craigslist in Atlanta - I told my son to get it for me, and like the good son he is, he borrowed his sister's SUV and picked it up for me.

Macy;

You have a beautiful collection of machines. I do wonder why the Sphinx decals don't seem to survive intact as often as others. Perhaps they were more delicate somehow in their nature or maybe they got rode hard and put up wet more often than others did.

My DH is back for a few weeks and has found my stash. I am in trouble, NOT... so tonight I told him "I think I bought a Honeymoon Treadle Sewing Machine. He asks "is this an addiction"? I just started in March so I am not sure I can label it as such, and it my weekly fixes are averaging about $30 per week, cheaper than a manicure or booze I think LOL

You can tell him NO - because you know of a lady and her husband, that since the start of this year- has bought about 50 sewing machines (54 to be exact). I wrote it all down, and, um, I'm not sure how this happened. . .

I started with 1 66 that I got several years ago,
This year I added
9 singer 66
5 singer 15
4 viking 21
3 singer 201
3 singer 221
3 singer 99
3 singer 115
2 viking 6570
2 singer 27
2 singer 127
2 singer 128
2 singer 401
2 singer 301

and one each - singer 534, 237, 403, 28, 645, 101
and one each Free treadle, Bernina 830, pfaff 130, viking 6460

I also picked up a Pink 15 clone for someone else,

And my one new machine, my Bailey 15" quilter on a gracie frame.

Now the crazy part is I also got
2 bentwood cases
1 coffin top case
2 red/beige cases
4 open treadle cabinets
6 enclosed treadle cabinets
3 301 cases
1 larger case, same style as 301
3 FW cases
and two folding tables, one FW and one 301

And 16 other Singer cabinets - all different.

and to make things worse, my attachment collection is even longer. At least they take up a lot less room.

I'm going to run out of hiding room soon! I have 6 in my dining room, 7 in my sewing room, 3 in a spare bedroom, not much but I added 3! This week alone. And I'm sure I'm missing some.

If this isn't fun I don't know what it, beats bingo and drinking in bars I agree!!!!!!
