I just bought one treadle side leg today and I was thinking of making a table out of it with wood. Would it be possible to use wood for one leg on one side, a wood top and then the cast iron treadle leg on the other side? (I couldn't find any other cast iron side leg so I was thinking of doing one wood and one cast iron) It's just going to be a flat top, not an actual treadle machine or to put a machine into.

Why not? On CL here I see treadles converted into tables in all manner of ways.
