Default winding bobbin for singer Futura

What is the secret for winding the bobbins in the singer futura? I just got it back from the shop and I know that it works, as it came home with a fully wound bobbin. I have tried and tried to do it the way the manual says but just can't get it to wind. HELP!!!!!!

First, while I don't know anything about the Futura; however, I would like to relate a conversation I heard in a Hancocks store 20 years ago.....The two women had the same machine. One couldn't get the bobbin to wind. The other woman asked if she wound the bobbin slowly....she said, "Yes," the other woman indicated that was her problem....wind the bobbin fast. I have never forgotten that, and have wound my bobbins (at least on takeoff) fast ever since... (Actually, just on takeoff!!!) Maybe that is the difficulty you are having???

I always put pressure on the thread as it winds onto the bobbin to keep it on the guide. Gently between two fingers. Otherwise it sometimes will jump out and wind around the bobbin post instead of on the bobbin. What is it doing or not doing correctly?
