Very pretty!!! I hope you really enjoy her. Do you have a name for her yet? Or has she not told you what her name is yet? How old is she? You know all of these older machines do have a voice and talk to you, or at least mine do.

The ZigZag is not working on Her, I am taking Her in after the first of the year. Her name is Maud after My Grandma. It does look new, and I am not sure when She was born, lol. I am still trying to find out info on Her. I did get the Owners Manual off line thought. This things sews beautifully. It is amazing how these old machine's sew. I am so anxious to get Her in total working order. Thanks you all for your compliments. Granny

Check the needle bar where it goes zig zag and see if it has built up dry oil - might save a repair bill.

    Smile Kenmore Sewing Machine

This machine is a faithful work horse. It will stay in adjustment and make a great stitch
ever time. Although it is a basic machine it is great for sewing quilts. I had a Kenmore
Commander one time and lo let it get out of my hands. I would like to find it. It was great
and I didn't appreciate it enough at the time.

You may be able to fix it yourself. As suggested, just look for the bar that controls the zig zag. The oil could of gotten dried and gummed up. If you can see it, a little rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip may be all you need. Just be careful not to get the alcohol on the paint as it will damage it.

    Great machine.
