I'm still not sure what kind it is. I've never seen one like this. I've tried searching for it online but I am having some trouble with that. I'll look again tomorrow to see if I can identify it.
It has a really cool bullet shaped bobbin. All the parts move good and I turned it on to see if it runs and it does. I am going to find out what kind it is and then I will search on how to oil it properly so I can try this baby out. I'm so excited about it turning on...haha.
This machine was sitting in the attic at my dad's house. I have no clue if it was my grandmothers old machine or if someone just dropped it off there(people did that...lol).

I have been on a Singer 27 kick lately. They are a lot of fun to clean up and use! Muv has a lot of info on her blog and in her videos. Look in the sticky notes at the top of the antique sewing machine page and look for Muvs cleaning up the sewing machine tutorial. When you get to her actual posts she has links to her blog and web page. I love her videos - she is such a good teacher.

If you want to find out when it was made you can either call Singer or use ISMAC's database here:
http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...-database.html
ISMAC's chart isn't the exact date it rolled off the assembly line. The allocation date is the date Singer assigned that group of serial #'s for production.
