    You will probably find a Singer manual for it that will work just fine. 15-90 or the 15-91 Read the discriptions and see which one better matches your machine.

    Hi Everyone,
    Thanks again for your help and I did get the bobbin thread to come up But now when I sew the 2 fabric pieces together the bobbin / lower thread will not sew. I tried to lower the needle some but that did not work. any suggestions

    On the HA-1 15 clone machines, the needle threads in the opposite direction, left to right, than does the Singer 15-XX machines, which thread from right to left, so you might double check that your needle is threaded properly.

    I'm so excited !! I got it to work.... I lowered the needle about an 1/8 of an inch and it picked it up . I was reluctant as the first time I lowered it it jammed underneath. But now it's sewing. Not sure for how long as the belt is very old and starting to break. Any hints on where you can find these belts for the old machines??
    AS for threading the needle I did have it threaded from left to right as I saw that in the manual that was suggested.
    Thanks again

    Make sure you are using the correct 15 x 1 needle. If you have to lower your needle, either you are using the wrong needle or the needle bar needs adjustment.
    Belts can be had here: Sew Classic { http://www.shop.sew-classic.com/ }

    I have a regular singer needle in it size 16/100.. It has a flat edge on one side. the one that was in it when I couldn't get it to pull the bobbin thread up is round and has muva 100. At least that is what I think it has on it. Had look for a magnifine glass to see it.I was going to do a search on that to see what type of machine that goes to.
    Thank you for the site on belts I will check it out.
