She's a beauty! Did the machine get wet or just the case?

Two of my three Featherweights are from grandmothers. I use them all the time (have two houses and one is at each). Not only do I love the machines but the sentimental value can't be measured. Both grandmothers have been gone for a long time now but close to my heart. I also have a table from one of them.

Just the case has got wet!! I think it was the first thing she moved after the flood and she took everything out to make sure there was no damage. She was bummed her manual got wet to but it's dried up really nice.
I have always loved the featherweight and was actually looking for one to buy when my grandma told me about hers when I was telling her about buying a 1929 singer 66.

That is so wonderful for you! My grandmother gave hers to my Aunt. She does't sew but in case she needs to do mending she has a machine. It will go to her daughter, and she doesn't sew either. But at least it stays in the family ( I hope).

Quiltingcandy, I hope it does stay in your family. I have two machines that when i bought them they told me they were their great grandmothers, it made me so sad to know they were selling it and it was leaving the family. I am the only grandchild that sews and none of her children are interested so I am the lucky girl!!! I hope my daughter(shes only 3 right now) will want to sew and I will make sure that the featherweight stays in the family!
