My new $10 Singer 15-91
#11
Actually-I saw her the cabinet at a garage sale (the only one I went to that day) and it was closed, in the back, with no price tag. Later that day, I was talking to a friend at a party, and she mentioned having seen it, too. She thought it was a 301. I figured it was history! The next morning, I saw the gal who had the garage sale at church and asked her about it-she said she'd forgotten to open it up and price it-said she was going to ask $10-would I like to see it? Of course!!! So-we went straight to her place, climbed over all of the stuff left from the sale, and opened it up and was surprised how it gleamed in the dark garage!! Knew it wasn't a 301 (which is on my bucket list!) but didn't care!! Handed her the $10 and arranged to pick it up yesterday. I knew it was a 1949, because of the AJ in the serial number (my FW is also a '49). Gosh-I can't wait to get that power cord!!!

the cabinet needs just a little tlc, and I'm waiting for the power cord I ordered, but I have another project going while I wait-refurbishing a 1949 featherweight. Will post pictures of her tomorrow.
