Cool My "new" Compac

This is the latest machine I've added to my little collection. It was purchased new in 1953 - belonged to the mother of the man I purchased it from. It came with the guarantee papers, manual, and some attachments plus the oil can. It sews like a dream! I wasn't familair with the brand when I bought it but have since found out it was made by Brother. The plastic oil bottle in the photo is not the one that came with it. That is mine where I was oiling it. Didn't realize it was in the picture. The oil can is really a little can with a spout on it.

She's a very good looking machine. Face plate looks ornate. I would say you lucked out on this one.
