My new machine is home! The cabinet is in sadder shape than I had realized, veneer has chipped off in places. Bummer. But, I especially wanted the machine, and I think it will clean up nicely. I got the stool, too, (veneer problems there, too,) and button-holer with metal cam things, and other attachments, too.
The arm that is supposed to release and swing out to support the top when it is opened is missing. Do any of you know if that is a part that can be replaced, and where I would go for it, if it is? I can just jury-rig something, otherwise.
Any tips for how to handle the broken veneer places best? I will need to do whatever it is myself, not take it elsewhere.
