Default My new treadle a No. 27-4

Isn’t she beautiful? She came home yesterday. I bought her at an estate sale. The lady who owned her used to quilt for me. I know it will sew but it is pretty dirty. It came with original books, boxes of feet and tools, needles, etc. I am in love.

It is beautiful! I've been keeping my eyes open for a treadle at garage sales too this year.

Looks great! Put the little furniture feet under the legs so you don’t end up with divots in the floor.

Tartan, the floor is tile but I will do that. Leo first, No I have t unless my grandmother’s was. I learned to sew on hers when I was 4 years old. This beautiful machine is a real learning experience for me. I wish there was a knowledgeable person nearby as I have a lot to learn! Right now I am reading the manual and identifying the parts and starting to think I might be in over my head.

Don't be scared of it. technology from 100+ years ago was much simpler and made to last. We can walk you through it.

Congratulations on getting your treadle. I have one that was owned by my Great Aunt May. She bought it in 1925. It is so fun to use. My sister came to visit me after I got it and I made her sit down and sew on it too.
