Default Necchi 6010 cabinet or case needed

I just acquired a Necchi 6010 sewing machine but have no case or cabinet for it. It also has the adapter fly wheel for a treadle option. Can someone tell me if this machine will fit into a Singer base or my options. I can't find an owners manual. Thank you, Jim

Welcome, Jim. I'm fairly certain it will fit a Singer case, as I believe your machine was made in Taiwan or Japan. Unfortunately, there is no picture of the machine for the manual at https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/in...cchi-6010.aspx The carrying case at https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/de...-flat-bed.aspx shows the dimensions and hinge pin spacing. I have never done business with this company, but it does look like they are available.

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of quilt block ID?

I was wondering if anyone has tried to put these machines into a Singer treadle type cabinet

Interesting that you got a spoked hand wheel for yours.

I'm pretty sure that a cabinet/table would work. It seems that one brand of machines had a different size hole for the hinge pin and had to be drilled out to make it work. I'm thinking that was for the older machines. The age of yours should have become standard sizes for the the holes and the pins. You may want to check the diameter of the hole and then the size of the hinge pins, realizing that you want the hole larger than the pin by a bit so that it will slide in.

I definitely would like to see pictures and especially if you decide to treadle it.

Attached is the machine in a wood cabinet at about $1200.00 for the cabinet and back ordered. I was attempting to use a singer base or equivalent if I can find one.
