Default Necchi Supernova BU 1/2 speed problems -help!

Hello everyone,
First time posting here. I have a Necchi Supernova BU that i . Bought it fairly cheap. I have cleaned and oiled machine, replaced belt as well, but still having an issue. The half speed function doesn't work. The machine is a demon on full power even outperforming my green berninas, but will not power motor when half speed is selected. Advice would be greatly appreciated (fingers crossed there is a solution). If not, are there any aftermarket motors that would fit? Thanks everyone

-Jeff

Welcome form Kansas. Congrats on a great machine Keep it oil and moving as they tend to lock up quicker than many if they don't get exercise. I can't offer a suggestion on the low speed, I can offer this little tidbit. There are knockout plugs in the base of the Supernova for a treadle belt, if you want It to go much slower.

Default Not sure on the 1/2 speed

We just got our Supernova two weeks ago so still learning, did find a group on Facebook "Necchi Supernova Sewing Machines" that has a lot of information that may be able to help if no one here knows.
