Default Need help with pricing Bernina 217 w/27 in throat

This machine is from the 90s, cam system, has clutch, straight stitch and zigzag, is an industrial walking foot machine. Beautiful condition! 27 inch throat, comes with table and original instruction booklet. I am interested in buying it but the widow has no idea on price and neither do I. The later model 217N goes for 500-600 but is NOT a long arm. Any suggestions or knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if it is out of my price range, I would be happy to pass on contact info for other interested buyers. But lets hope its in my range! LOL

    Thanks!

    Wendy

Check ebay for closed auction prices to get an idea about it.

Prices are very subjective. You might go to your local sewing machine dealer, who sells industrials, to get an idea.

We really don't do that kind of evaluations here. Prices vary from place to place and need to need. Industrial machines go for quite a chunk of money depending on what they can be set up to do.

    Default Bernina 217?

HI there, Did you ever find the information on this machine? I have been looking for one of these for a few years. Not sure why. I have heard they are finicky, but just wanted to check. Thank you. Also, I know the person who created this machine. If you need his information, I can definitely help.
