Need Help: Singer Treadle
Hi my neighbor just gave me his late wife's Singer treadle, this machine was passed down thru the years in her family. Could somebody let me know what I have? Here is the info I got off the machine, Patented Aug 2, 92 and a set of # 3136261 and here are some pics.

Laura, you have a Singer W9...these machines were made between 1906 when Singer took over the Wheeler & Wilson company, and 1912 when they used up the last of the W&W parts.
Nice machines, they take a 127x1 or Boye 18 needle (both obsolete), and I've seen some on ebay that are supposed to be a good sub...
Enjoy!!

Ah Laura...it's a pretty easy job...these are really simple mechanical machines! Look at the top of the vintage section and watch Muv's videos....she makes it pretty easy! No need to spend the $$ for a tune up unless you'd rather do it that way.
