Default Need help! White Rotary doesn't pick up lower thread

I have a White Rotary FR3102531. It doesn't pick up lower thread. The upper thread is threaded correctly and the bobbin is set correctly according to the instruction ( I believe). Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I don't have that machine but when I have had that problem in the past the needle is wrong. Wrong size, put in wrong. Try another needle

Welcome. I'm going to give you a bunch of links. Some of the links in the threads about White machines here on QB don't work, but the links that are for other threads to other QB threads are good. As I was trying to gather them, I realized that quite possibly the direction that you are turning the hand wheel to draw up the bobbin is the opposite as to how Singer machines are turned. The hand wheel is turned away from you (clockwise as you are looking at the hand wheel). I know that both the threading of the needle thread and bobbin thread are a bit fiddly, so am including some image links. The flat of the needle is positioned on the right and threaded left to right.

Manuals can be found at http://needlebar.org/main/manuals/white/index.html and http://ismacs.net/white/manuals.html Specifically http://ismacs.net/white/manuals/white-rotary.pdf

Helpful threads about White machines, which have very good links to other Quilting Board threads - White Rotary 43 - Project of the Day and White Rotary

A few pictures of threading - one of which is slightly different but still have the basic parts that need to be threaded correctly. https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...-threading.jpg
    https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...notchaedit.jpg
    https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...-threading.jpg

Then a couple of offsite web pages. I have read that removing the face plate is not generally recommended. One person took it off and couldn't get it back on here on QB, but there were no responses. https://www.treadleon.net/sewingmach...aceplaste.html nad https://www.treadleon.net/WhiteSM/whites.html

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of quilt block ID?

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
    Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.

    Dear Patchwork,

    Thank you for your advice.
I have the genuine White Rotary shank needles on their way.
Once I get them, I will give it a shot!
    Thank you again,
