need info on Singer treadle sewing machine.
I have just finished cleaning a Singer Treadle sewing machine that I purchase last year about this time and my hubby sanded it all down and was going to put a finish on it but got very sick Thanksgiving and to this day he still can't do anything so I got out there and put two coast of polyurinthene on it and it is beautiful. Now I am trying to get the machine to sew. It might be out of time as it won't pick up the thread. Here are the question I need answers for.
1. What year was it made Serial # G4892643 (round bobbin)
2. What size needle does it use
3. Where can I get parts
4 Where can I see a picture of one to make sure all the parts are on it??
It is a beautiful piece of furniture.

According to the chart on ISMACS it's a Model 115, one of 10,000 allotted 9-20-1916.
I'm not familiar with that model so I'm afraid I can't be of help with the pics.
Lots of parts can be found at Sew-Classic.com http://www.shop.sew-classic.com/ .

Please post a photo of your machine. Most Singer with round bobbins take a 15x1 needle. Parts can be had by googling for Singer parts or you could try Sew Classic. To find a similar sewing machine just look at the vintage thread on sewing machines. Many folks here have posted almost all the Singers on that thread.
A big help to us so that we can help you is just posting a photo of your machine-makes our work easier.

Here's an owner's manual going by your serial number. Good Luck.

A Singer 115 takes a 15x1 needle. It threads a bit differently than other model 15's, and it takes a 20U bobbin instead of a class 15.
I'd love to see photos of your machine/cabinet!! If you still need it, I can post a photo for you later today or in the morning.
