One thing to check-if they took out the bobbin case to clean them, they may not have gotten them back in correctly. The manual shows on page 87, I think, how to remove the bobbin case. If the holder (the bracket you move to the right) is not put back correctly the bobbin case can move out of postion and jam the machine (I have had this happen). Worth a try to check it. Good luck.
