Default New Home Bobbin Help!

Hello! I have a vintage new home light running NLB machine and I'm in need of more bobbins! I have one, and my local shop has exhausted all their distributors to find more for me. Does anyone have any leads?

This Ebay listing indicates these bobbins fit the Janome and the New Home. http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Plastic-Bo...wAAOSwEK9UAAkr

Some of the Singer type clones had bobbins that were interchangeable. Have you tried any others, at least to compare the size & shape to yours?

Is this by any change the manual for your machine? It indicates the bobbin is an A1225. http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Plastic-Bo...wAAOSwEK9UAAkr

Edited to add: It doesn't really look like yours but might use the same bobbins.

This thread was looking for bobbins for a New Home Light New Home Light Running bobbins?

I may have 1 bobbin. May be the same machine I purchased a few months back but the sewing bed broke during shipping. Good for parts now I guess?

This site says that the bobbins are the same as Singer Class 15 http://www.singeroriginalvintageprod...E19501960.aspx

Bobbins are not the same as the Class 15 for this particular machine. Though maybe a class 15 would fit, have not tried it (but I think they are too tall).

It's actually made by FREE, so look for bobbins that fit a Free Rotary. I've got a few handfuls of them laying around - somewhere . . .

New Home got bought out and turned into a "badged" name. What fits this machine is not the same as a Rotary New Home that was made by New Home, or one made by Janome.

That is a Japanese New Home, they are class 15 machines. The US made machines are not.

That's why I said that it was what the website said. I really don't know. I have an old New Home but don't use it anymore and have enough bobbins for if I decide to use it.

I have a Free Westinghouse ALB that's basically the same machine, it uses the same bobbins as the Singer Featherweight, which are available from sew-classic.com and other sources. I think these are pretty great machines btw, the aluminum castings makes them very lightweight and they have huge throat space.

Macybaby -- thank you so much for the info! The hunt continues! This was my grandmother's machine and it was kept in pristine condition (photo attached in thread is from google). I just need more than one bobbin! Thank!
