I found a New Home treadle at our local hospice thrift store today. While I am not looking for one, I thought one of you might be. They are asking $200.00 for it and it seems to be complete other than it needs a new belt, there is no rust and the hand wheel turns easily. It even includes an owner's manual. If anyone is interested I would do what I can to facilitate your purchase. I have one more picture, a somewhat fuzzy, but close up of the machine itself.

It has a patent list on it, the most recent date is 1887, I think.

Oh, isn't that pretty! I simply don't have the room for it. I have an old Wilcox Gibbs treadle that only does a chain stitch. It's not nearly as pretty.

Oh I knew I shouldn't have opened this message...I have very little desire to start collecting old machines but this one really has been on my want list for a very long time, mainly because my mom had one and I have so many fond memories of sitting next to her and just watching her sew.
Just don't have the money right now....{tears}

I have a guest room with a double bed if you want to come up and take a look at it!
