Joe is a big Sewmor fan, which is likely why he was being summoned.

Thanks Mark, I agree with your statement. It is a cute little machine and I am sure I will find a good home for her. I think I have found "The One" for me in my Necchi's though. None of the machines I have sews like the Necchi's. But I will say I also really like my Pfaff 131, my Slant O Matics and about a dozen others. But my Supernova outshines them all. And yes, she is a little fussy, but I kinda like that about her...like my Porsche was.

My Sewmor is an awesome machine that sews at least as well as it's singer counterpart. I work with metal a lot and the Sewmor is in every way I can find the equal of the singers. I think it is counter-promo BS.

Joe just found this thread. Joe would have snagged that SEWMOR and cabinet in a heart beat.

    SunflowerZZ,
I have not read what you did. However since I have two SEWMOR 404s and 4 others I doubt it's validity. Sounds to me like someone simply did not like the Japanese made machines. There was a tremendous amount of racial hatred towards anything Japanese for decades after WW II.

The SEWMOR 404 is a cross between the Singer model 66 and 15, Necchi had nothing to do with it's design or manufacturer. The deal about the Necchi machines concerns the ZZ machines as far as I can tell.

Wish we were closer, I'd take it off your hands.

    Joe
