May have figured some attachments out.
I may have more attachments to send to CA. Was looking for something else and spotted this - I ended up with some of those hemmers with the "button" on them and had no idea what they were for. Unfortunately they did not come with the holder. But even if they aren't for a Singer 12, at least now I know how they mount and what to look for.

hmm- got to looking at the picture and wondering about that thing right in the middle - so went upstairs and found it

How interesting! So it's like the hemmer foot is in parts; I'm guessing you use an ordinary foot on the presser bar and then the hemmer guide part gets mounted to the bed of the machine? That's a pretty cool design; seems it'd be easier to change the hemmer bits than to swap out the whole foot.
You should write a book! Seems like there'd be a big demand for it.

the older hemmers were mostly bed mount, so you did use your regular foot with it.
With this style with the separate clamp, I would figure it could be mounted on a wide range of machines as you can rotate both the hemmer and the clamp to get it lined up correctly.
At least on this board - no one is going to say "wow! it's 40 years old!"

Very cool! Clever design and they would fit a lot of different machines, though your mount seems more specific than the one on Needlebar. That would be why we don't throw things out until we're sure of what they are. I would never have thought the holder was part of a hemmer set.

I have sets of those for four different machines. It was VERY popular in the aftermarket realm.

Yea, we'll be "talking" as I've got to get a handle on my attachment disorder. It's so tempting to keep everything, but my main goal was to have ones that went with my machines, not just buy up everything that I haven't seen before . . .
And it's also about education, so if they are part of the Victorian Sweatshop, they'll still be around to help educate others about the old machines and their attachments.
