Not an improvement:Broke my 301
Well, this is a new one. I broke my 301 before I got it threaded. I was putting the head in the car and bumped the take up arm. Touched it later and it fell off. Well, the external part broke off. Hmm can I steal one from anything else, or will I need to order one? What ever can I use to sew while I am waiting on a part? I believe I am still left with a choice or 50. Oh well, more time to clean it. Partially oiled it and it is smoother. Glad it is a replacable part.

Didn't wreck the bike today. Rode it a parade... Tricky stuff at slow speed, Gave the turquoise Fleetwood a bit of a workout. Gave me more of a workout and and the thread ripper. Left centering took some adjustment.
I looked at that, barny and considered my ancient welding skills. ( gas, arc and forge) Nah, replacement parts are easier to find.
