Default Not Vintage but need help

I was recently given a Huskylock 910 Serger that was dropped. I was hoping to get it back in service to use for our church sewing circle. The light works but the machine does not run. I was wondering what elements I should check. I looked at the electrical connection and I think it is ok. I will try to get my son-in-law to check with his equipment to see if all the wires are hot. What else should I check out?

I know you guys/gals have worked with various problems and maybe you would have some suggestions. Any tips will be appreciated!! I have learned much from your postings. Thanks so much.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with sergers.
