Old cabinet new machine?
I just scored a vintage white cabinet and machine.. cable/wire lift as you open the top. 1920-30’s
the dimensions of the opening are little less than 7x14. But the pin set are 10 inches apart. Are there any modern machines that would fit this cabinet? I have an older modern singer, but pin holes are 9.75 apart, it doesn’t fit. I’d rather not cut the cabinet. I’m not an avid sewer... only for small projects or fixing things. But I do like having it away in a cabinet... do the modern white machines fit the older cabinets?

Welcome to the QB Janine from SE Michigan! It is unlike a new white will fit into you cabinet and newer machine have so many design changes. I too have a white in a beautiful cabinet from the same era as yours. I love it! Mine is a White model 77. Best of luck with your machine. I am sure there are others here that may be of help to you too. I just dabble with vintage machines.
