    It happens! I found a minty one with case and all attachments at the thrift store for $34.99. That was now at least 10 yrs ago. I couldn't believe my luck!! It definitely was NOT a centennial though!! What a bonus that is!

    nice find.. congrats on the beauty you have found. you may want to look on sew classics web site you may find what is missing from machine there.

    Try to find an original 221 or 301 bobbin case. There are reproductions that are being sold but the quality is poor. Perhaps you need to add a 301 to your collection. The 301 controller will also work on the 221.

    and that might be a cheaper option.

    Check out ebay and even craigs list for the controller...
