I just bought a Phoenix 429 but it has no manual. It belonged to a dressmaker who died in december and his daughter (who doesn't sew) sold it to me. Is there anyone who would be able to help me find a manual manual? I cannot find it online. I think I can thread it, I figured out the backstitching and zigzag, I think threading the bobbin will work (I watched on Youtube how they did it with a vintage Singer and it looked a little bit the same). I practised the removing of the bobbin on a spare one that was included. Tomorrow, when the light is better I will try all of this but a manual would be awesome. Thank you.

That bobbin may have a loop thread has to pass through or it won't work. When you get it running you will love that machine. Search above in the box at the upper right and you may find a link to a manual. It may be a different model but it might be of some help.
