87, what a gal, and mom would have been doing so much more before she passed at 94, but went blind and had little site in one eye and none in the other. And it is great your getting to know your cousin, I have many I am very close to and love them dearly, some younger and some older. Family is so special.

thank you for the pics. Your cousin looks a lot younger than her stated age. I am in awe that she is still able to quilt, its beautiful.

I think this is wonderful. How special that you can now connect on a shared creative outlet. And that you can get to know her better. She sounds like a very special lady. I hope you and your dad and cousin will make many happy memories together.

How cool!! How wonderful for both of you to make this connection with each other, too. I bet she's really enjoying having someone "new" to share her passion with too.

Absolutely! I'd love to be that talented and active at 87! Mercy, none of us really know if we'll still be here at 87! LOL! Cherish every day and live it to the fullest. There was a song out a number of years ago (country) called "Don't Blink!" Well, I'll echo that sentiment! I don't know of any of the nursing homes in Florida that will allow a sewing machine. I know scissors are NOT allowed!

Your cousin is wonderful!
