It looks like my first sewing machine that I got in middle school, mid-1960's. It had cams that were inserted to do the decorative stitches. I took several tailoring classes on that machine when I was 12. I made a plaid, box-pleated wool skirt and matching wool lined tailored jacket. Lots of good memories made with her. Gave her to a young friend who did not have a machine when DH gave me an electronic machine for my birthday 40 years later. Unfortunately, he doesn't get the concept of 'collecting' sewing machines. Best of luck with your new baby. With a good cleaning, she'll be as good as new.

Looks like a 16. I had a 54 which is similar, but lavender and cream instead of green and cream. Very heavy machines! Hopefully you got the cams, then you can make decorative stitches. If I remember, it uses "E" cams, flat double-sided. It is a very striking machine and strong. Happy sewing.

What a great find. I never find anything good on the road side. One hint for you if you don't already know this. The front of the cabinet should swing open and act as a support under the open leaf. The hinges alone are not enough to securely hold the leaf when it is open. Don't want anything bad to happen to this beauty!
